NDIS Personal Training

Personal training is considered a luxury for some, however for an individual with poor mental health, it can be an essential support for improving their health and wellbeing. Without having guidance from a trainer whilst exercising, some participants may put themselves at risk of injury, not achieve the results they expect, or may not even exercise at all.

At Heads Up, personal training is offered to participants who have firstly been assessed by an Exercise Physiologist and deemed suitable for such support. It is a lower-cost alternative to exercise physiology, for individuals who are medically stable and not a high risk.

Personal training can help an individual in many ways, including:

  • Improved strength, balance and coordination
  • Improved fitness
  • Improved confidence and self-esteem
  • Increased social connections
  • Establishing a regular exercise routine
  • Improved mood and reduced symptoms of mental illness
  • Decreased body weight and/or increased muscle mass
